ESC-Specific Professional Learning on High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM)

There are several professional learning opportunities specifically created for Educational Service Centers (ESCs).

 

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

Ohio Materials Matter: High-Quality Instructional Material Webinars for ESCs
For: All ESC staff who want to learn about HQIM and how to support districts with HQIM 
EdReports will facilitate a series of ESC-focused HQIM webinars that provide ESC staff with information and resources they can use to support districts with the adoption of instructional materials.  

Ohio Materials Matter: Smart Adoption Practices (ESC-specific) 
For: ESC staff who want to focus on guidance and resources to support districts in the process of SELECTING high quality instructional materials
EdReports will work with ESCs to support smart adoption practices – the training focuses on mathematics, but content will be applicable to other subject areas. These “train-the-trainer” sessions will provide guidance and resources to support districts in the process of selecting high-quality instructional materials. Training will be beneficial for ESCs that are supporting districts that have adoptions in the near future, as well as those that will be looking to adopt at a later time.

Ohio Materials Matter: K-8 Math Implementation Cohort 1 & Cohort 2 
For: ESCs who have already committed to being part of Cohort 1 or Cohort 2
Instruction Partners will work with ESCs in Cohort 1 and 2 to effectively IMPLEMENT HQIM in K-8 mathematics. Professional learning includes quarterly meetings and a year of support for the district from its ESC and Instruction Partners (including instructional rounds, action planning, and professional learning). Cohort 1 will being working with Instruction Partners this year, while Cohort 2 will be preparing to start work next school year.
