Educator Shortage Survey and Meeting
The Department of Higher Education wants to learn about teacher shortages in order to ensure teacher apprenticeships will meet your region's needs. ESCs and school districts are asked to complete an educator shortage survey. The survey will remain open with no closing date - contact Hilary Swinning, hswinning@highered.ohio.gov, for questions on the survey.

Then, attend a regional meeting to discuss the survey data and learn more about the Teacher Apprenticeship initiative. Share your districts' needs and discuss how ESCs, K-12 districts, local unions, Educator Preparation Programs (EPP) and other interested parties (community colleges, local workforce boards, and community organizations) can collaborate to address educator shortages and support educator candidates by providing a cost-effective pathway to the teaching profession. Registration questions: edprep@highered.ohio.gov.
