ESC Reframing Education Network

Reimagine. Reframe. Re-engineer.

ESC Reframing Education Network

Ohio's ESCs are dedicated to providing school districts with professional development, technology, support, planning, and administrative services that help improve student learning, enhance the quality of instruction, expand equitable access to resources and maximize operating and fiscal efficiencies.

In support of Future Forward Ohio, the work of the High School Redesign Taskforce, and the statewide strategic plan for education, Each Child, Our FutureOESCA's Reframing Education Network seeks to leverage the statewide network of ESCs by facilitating peer-to-peer conversations about instructional expectations to support the ESC membership and their client districts in reframing education to drive improved academic outcomes for all students regardless of where they live and attend school.

Each month, ESC Regional Coordinators convene ESC staff statewide via Zoom to provide information and updates on state initiatives, learning opportunities, and resources and services available to ESCs. ESC staff share successes, discuss issues and network with job-alike peers statewide. Each meeting follows a standard agenda including updates on ODE Initiatives, featured networks and related resources.

(First Friday of each month) 9:00-10:00am Zoom: https://zoom.us/j/99768034626 (NOTE NEW ZOOM ADDRESS)

This community of practice evolved from the Reframing Education toolkit created during the COVID-19 related school closures.  Ohio's network of ESCs developed a comprehensive planning tool for Ohio's schools and school districts.

A statewide network of ESC personnel worked collaboratively to create a decision-making framework to support districts as they consider best practices, have authentic conversations about instructional expectations and make plans to “reframe education” moving forward.

The time is right for Ohio to begin reframing its education model so that learning can become the constant and time and place can become the variables. The intent of the “Reframing Education” project is to support Ohio districts as they strive to meet the needs of all students in a multifaceted and multilayered manner.
