Accountability & Technical Assistance Committee
Continuously Working to Improve Ohio's System of ESCs

Chair:  Dave Distel, Hamilton County ESC

Composition: 6 members (additional members may be added by a majority vote of the committee

Role:
 Create system of technical assistance that enables ESCs to improve performance
 Design an accountability system that is measurable and appropriate
 Market the value of the accountability system for ESC viability
 Create a statewide “Best Practice” learning network
 Design a system to ensure the effective use of national role models of “best practice” for continuous improvement
 Investigate and identify methods to increase/leverage ESC staff, resources, and revenue
 Identify federal, state and local revenue sources

Responsibilities:
 Be an active member and participant.
 Commit to meeting at least 4 times each year.
 Make regular reports to executive committee and to membership at annual meetings

Aligned to OESCA goal #2 - Establish an effective, consistently used system of accountability and technical assistance for Ohio ESCs using a modified Ohio ESC Network Best Practice Expectations.

Aligned to OESCA goal #3 - Actively advocate to increase the capacity of member ESCs to provide cost-effective, quality services.
