OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

The Ohio Department of Education has released a document entitled, "Considerations for Students with Disabilities During Ohio’s Ordered School-Building Closure", to provide guidance for serving students with disabilities, which can be accessed by clicking here: FAQ: Students with Disabilities
ODE released the 21st Century Community Learning Center After-school Program Guidance available HERE.
ODE released FAQ for Residential Treatment Facilities that can be found HERE .
ODE released guidance on supporting whole-child nutrition - During the ordered school-building closure period, schools may continue to receive reimbursement for meals served by participating in the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) or the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Schools may operate as open, restricted open or targeted outreach sites. Based on the governor’s recently announced Executive Order following the confirmation of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Ohio, the Department of Education is canceling, postponing or modifying the format of several meetings and events. OHIO DEPARTMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION
The Ohio Department of Higher Education has released a guidance memo and additional guidance support for College Credit Plus (CCP).
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
The U.S. Department of Education released a question-and-answer document pertaining to students with disabilities and COVID-19. The Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services’ (OSERS) document answers questions schools might have about students with disabilities and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) as related to the COVID-19. The Federal Government has issued Administrative Relief for Recipients and Applicants of Federal Financial Assistance Directly Impacted by COVID-19 due to Loss of Operations (Office of Management and Budget) - click HERE to download that guidance and information.
EXECUTIVE ORDERS
Executive Orders: The following Executive Orders have been signed and executed by Governor Mike DeWine
- Executive Order 2020-01D - declaration of a state of emergency
- Executive Order 2020-02D - amendment of rules by ODJFS
- Executive Order 2020-03D - lifting unemployment benefit restrictions
- Executive Order 2020-04D - establishing a temporary pandemic childcare license
- Executive Order 2020-05D - an executive order expanding access to medical and behavioral health services using telehealth.
- ODH Director Stay-At-Home Order - Dr. Acton Issued a Stay-At-Home Order March 22, 2020
- ODH School Closure Extension Order - Dr. Action Issues an order extending school closures through May 1, 2020 on March 30, 2020.

OHIO LEGISLATIVE RESPONSE
The Ohio General Assembly passed HB 197 with unanimous support out of both chambers. To follow are the associated documents and resources:

BUDGET IMPLICATIONS
The Ohio Governor's Office of Budget and Management (OBM) has released the Ohio monthly preliminary revenues for March 2020 HERE. A more detailed explanation will be included in the monthly financial report, set for Release on Friday, April 10th.
CONGRESSIONAL RESPONSE
The U.S. Congress approved a $2 Trillion stimulus package, the Coronavirus Aid, Re lief, and Economic Security Act’’ or the ‘‘CARES Act’’. You can access that by clicking HERE.
PRESIDENTIAL DECLARATION
On March 28, 2020, Governor Dewine requested that President Trump declared a major disaster for the State of Ohio as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic. This letter is available HERE.
